This is necessary for us to conducting prospecting and mining-related activities without endangering the public. To ensure safety, staff is on site 24/7 and live video cameras are monitored.
Self-guided mineral collecting is not permitted and strictly enforced.
Guided tours (including mineral collecting tours) are available by contacting Trails and Tales, LLC, which is an independent tour guide company locally based in Cochise County, Arizona.**

*Unless express permission is granted by the owner(s), the area comprising approximately Courtland and Gleeson, AZ is off-limits to the public for mineral collecting, prospecting, and or mining. This is due to the land being private, or, on federal/state lands, mineral rights are already held by for Courtland Ghost Town and its neighbors. Recreation involving non-mining and or mineral collecting activities is permitted on State and Federal lands in accordance with their rules and regulations. However, access to these areas may be limited by lack of public right-of-ways. Please do your research in advance and contact us or the relevant State or Federal Agency if you have any questions.
